Amazon EC2 Review: Yuriy Pogosov
07/03/10Pros:
Good control panel, more then 25 characters
Cons:
No support at all AND THE WORST CUSTOMER ATTITUDE I'VE SEEN ON THE NET. They can just shut you down without any notice, and you will be writing them letters for a couple of days to get the reason why did they do so
Other Thoughts:
Ok there wasn't a hosting from the 10 i worked with that've driven me into state of maddened rage except for Amazon.
2 hours after i registered and started my instance they just closed my account without any mail or other way of notification. After I've spent 3 hours checking my huge passwords list in case i entered another and forgot about it and after i've returned and changed my pass via password reminder feature i've sent them an e-mail with the question WTF it happening to my account I can't log in. And that's all in a middle of site transfer. Imagine, i got an answer _the next day_ stating that for some reason my cc couldn't be billed and that my account is suspended untill I provide billing statements via fax. After i did this they still didn't give me access to my account despite I offered to change a credit card to another, and requested MY BANK TO CALL THEM to USA from London so that they can process a f***ing 10 dollar payment..
I've written them a huge letter with a lot of bad words. and cancelled my account
